Find out when you would use an EFT Practitioner
There are lots of EFT tapping videos and apps available online
and it is a simple process to follow along with them so why would you contact
an EFT practitioner?
Here are a few reasons why working with an EFT Practitioner is a good idea:
Expert Guidance and Support
Working with an EFT Practitioner provides you with expert guidance and support on your emotional healing journey. They have undergone specialised training and have experience in dealing with a wide range of emotional issues. A practitioner can help you navigate through complex emotions and provide personalised approaches to address your specific challenges.
Creating a Safe Space
A skilled EFT Practitioner creates a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your emotions openly. Sometimes, we may feel hesitant or uncomfortable delving into our deepest emotions on our own, but with a practitioner, you can feel supported and encouraged to express yourself freely.
Uncovering Root Issues
While tapping on your own can be beneficial, an EFT Practitioner can help you uncover underlying root issues that might be contributing to your emotional struggles. They can assist you in identifying patterns, past traumas, or limiting beliefs that you might not be aware of, and work with you to address and release them effectively.
Addressing Resistance
At times, we may encounter resistance or emotional blocks that hinder our progress. A practitioner is skilled at recognising these barriers and can guide you through them with empathy and expertise, helping you to break through to the other side where emotional freedom awaits.
Understanding Reactions
A Practitioner is trained to help you understand your reactions to EFT and help you work through whatever comes up in a calm, safe and relaxed way. For example, they are be able to direct you through grounding techniques if you feel uncomfortable at any point.
Tailored Sessions for You
EFT sessions with a practitioner are customised to suit your specific needs and goals. Each person's emotional landscape is unique, and an experienced practitioner tailors the tapping sequences and affirmations to resonate with your individual experiences and emotions. They will determine the right words and tapping points in order to get the best result. You can relax and just follow the personalised process without having to worry about what to do or say.
Accelerated Progress
Partnering with an EFT Practitioner can accelerate your progress on the path to emotional healing and personal growth. Their insights and experience can help you make significant strides in a shorter period, saving you time and effort.
Accountability and Commitment
Having regular sessions with a practitioner instills a sense of accountability and commitment to your healing journey. It's easy to overlook self-care and personal growth when we're busy with life's demands, but having a practitioner by your side can remind you to prioritise your emotional well-being consistently.
Code of Ethics
When a Practitioner certifies through a reputable organisation, they will sign up to a Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics. This is important because you can be confident that the Practitioner is committed to upholding certain important values during your sessions. For example I am I am registered with The Complementary Medical Association and committed to
✓ Transparency
✓ Honesty
✓ Respectability
✓ Professionalism
✓ Integrity
It can also mean there is a Complaints Procedure available if you are not happy with the experience you have had.
Trauma Training
As part of their training, a certified Practitioner should have had some instruction on identifying and, depending on their level, working with trauma. This is important because you are not always conscious of what will come up in a session. It could be something comes up that you have been suppressing and the body feels safe to bring it up during your session. A certified Practitioner will recognise this and either help you relax and feel safe while they refer you on to a relevant contact or will help you work through the traumatic memory in a calm and safe way.
Supervision and CPD
A Practitioner who is certified through a reputable organisation will require annual supervision and CPD to maintain their status. Supervision is when a more experienced Practitioner or Trainer reviews the way the Practitioner works with clients. This ensures their skills are up to date and they work in a safe and ethical way. CPD (Continuing Professional Development) means the practitioner will undertake be reading and writing articles, attending events and watching videos to constantly improve their knowledge and technique.
Some countries and organisations don't require this. I am registered with The Complementary Medical Association where it is a mandatory requirement. You are welcome to ask me about this before working with me.
